  • Jones runs the fund alongside Hiten Savani and Daniel Swift. Jones and Savani have worked together at Fidelity International for over 15 years and have managed the strategy since its launch in 2020. Swift, who has worked on the desk for over 11 years, become a named manager in 2026.
  • Prior to joining Fidelity in 2005, Jones worked as a quantitative analyst at JP Morgan and spent five years working at Bankers Trust. Savani joined in 2010, prior to which he was a member of the Portfolio Strategy Group at Goldman Sachs and worked in Africa with the United Nations World Bank.
  • “Together, we bring a mix of fundamental understanding, quantitative research and portfolio construction experience to managing this strategy,” said Jones.
  • He added: “Decisions are taken jointly. We work as a team, reviewing the research inputs, the portfolio structure, the risk profile and the individual stocks. The process is repeatable, but there is still an important role for portfolio manager judgement, especially in checking the conviction behind the research and making sure each stock fits the mandate.”
  • Meanwhile the managers sit within Fidelity’s Systematic Investing team and are supported by portfolio engineering, quant research, derivatives and investment directing resources.
  • Jones said the broader Systematic Equity platform had about $22.4bn for Equities and $33.3bn overall (AUM and Advisory) of assets as at 30 June 2026, while the team is also part of a wider cross asset systematic investing capability.
