  • The GLI investment team has one of the longest track records in listed infrastructure management globally, with the first strategy launching (on the New York Stock Exchange) in 2004.
  • The team managing the Nomura Global Infrastructure Securities fund comprises six members, all of whom joined Nomura from Macquarie after the acquisition last year. Combined, the team has 120 years of buyside experience and an average 25 years of portfolio management experience.
  • Frishberg, who is head of Global Listed Infrastructure and is the lead portfolio manager for Global Listed Infrastructure strategies, has over 35 years of experience managing assets in the sector. Prior to Macquarie, he was managing director and US equity portfolio manager at JP Morgan Asset Management where he was responsible for managing portfolios and businesses in London, Tokyo, and New York for more than a decade.
  • “Three of the team, me included, are based in New York, two are in Sydney, and one is in Munich,” he said. “I act as the lead the portfolio manager and then we have five additional team members who are analysts for different companies in our investable universe.”
  • One of the analysts, Barry Klein, also supports Frishberg in a variety of portfolio management activities, and additionally manages the firm’s energy transition ETF and co-manages a climate solutions strategy.
  • In addition, the team works closely and is supported by a dedicated client portfolio manager.
